OUR BRAND STORY

God makes no mistakes and Maima Shirley is no exception. This is truly a partnership ordained by the Lord. As two faith filled, God fearing women, Maima Pelham and Shirley Sherman met as they were both involved in humanitarian work, the work they were doing was to raise money to help a child in dire need of medical care and to give the child a chance to receive life changing care in America. It was there that the bond was strengthened by their combined entrepreneurial passions, their wealth of knowledge of the international fashion climate, and their desire to make modest elegance accessible to the modern woman.  Maima Pelham has a 9 year background of designing fashion, as well as traveling all over the world to promote her company at world fashion events. Shirley Sherman has a background in textiles creating uniforms at her shop in Liberia.  With their combined wealth of knowledge between the two and their already thriving separate business ventures, they knew that what would come next would be transformative. From there, Maima Shirley was born. With attention to detail when it comes to the finest silks, to the most eye catching patterns, the vision soon was cultivated into something that was soon realized to be bigger than themselves. A brand that truly embodies the values of the two women and most importantly a visual representation of their personal testimonies.

OUR MISSION

Our brand aims to combine elegance and modesty in a cohesive and streamlined production that transcends today and extends past tomorrow. It can be worn to the highest scale events as well as in casual settings. We see it being accessible in stores all over the world in the future in a wide range of colors, sizes, and patterns.
